Send the zip code, the sizes and the quantity in the form below and you get a delivered number, not a guess. We reply in writing, usually within two business days.
Black polypropylene spunbond, 1.8 oz/yd² (60 gsm), UV stabilised. Supplied in full rolls on a core, film wrapped and labelled.
This is the weight contractors buy by the pallet — light enough to carry and cut by hand, heavy enough to stay intact under mulch, gravel and landscape rock for several seasons. It is the same material we have supplied into the US and Canadian markets since 2018.
Where it is used
- Under mulch, gravel, decorative rock and river stone
- Beneath artificial turf and paver bases
- Nursery and greenhouse ground cover, row middles
- Erosion control on slopes and around new plantings

The overlap column is the number to plan from. Seams need 6 inches of overlap to stop weeds tracking through, and on a long run that is where the material actually goes. Quote the item number when you order.

Pallets are built to 120 x 100 cm and ship double stacked. Pallet weights are net of the pallet itself. A mixed-size pallet is built to the same envelope and quoted on request.
Which width
Wider is cheaper per square foot and faster to lay, but only if the run is wide enough to use it. On bed work and row middles the 3 and 4 ft rolls waste less. On open ground, parking islands and turf underlay the 6 and 8 ft rolls cut installation time roughly in half, because most of the labour is in the seams, not the fabric.
The 6 and 8 ft rolls are supplied folded in half, so they arrive as a manageable 3 ft and 4 ft roll rather than a full-width one.
